BREAKING: MAGA world explodes with rage as a brutal op-ed entitled "Why every vestige of Trump must be torn down" and "smashed to bits" goes viral for advocating the complete erasure of his legacy.
The next Democratic president just received their day one playbook...
Donald Trump has always loved putting his name on things. It shows he wants to be noticed, to be seen and remembered by others, and to shout out, "I exist, and I matter!" writes Paul Waldman on Substack. "Now that he has control of the federal government, he's doing this more than ever — much more than during his first term."
This isn't just about branding.
Trump wants to leave a physical mark — a collection of signs and buildings that will always honor his greatness, according to Waldman. That's why it's so important — and so satisfying — for the next Democratic president to tear everything down and destroy it completely.
He explains that even if there's some revenge involved, this isn't "petty revenge."
More importantly, removing Trump from our nation is about moving past this dark time in history. It will take a big, comprehensive plan that includes fixing the real issues, the rules, and the symbols that show people he was in charge.
Waldman criticizes Trump's recent rush to build and rename things as proof that he suddenly realized he could break the usual rules about naming things after sitting presidents.
In the past, a president had to hope that if he did great things, the country would remember him by naming places after him. But Trump doesn't care about that, says Waldman.
He lists many of the sad and pathetic ways Trump is trying to create a legacy for himself.
The worst president in American history is making a coin with his face, renaming the U.S. Institute of Peace to "The Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace" and the Kennedy Center to "The Trump Kennedy Center."
He also destroyed part of the White House to build a fancy, expensive ballroom that cost $300 million, paid for by corrupt donations from rich friends and powerful companies that wanted favors from his government.
He's also planning a terrible "triumphal arch" and has announced plans for a "Golden Fleet" with a battleship named after him.
Plus, there's Trump Rx (a website for drug price comparisons), Trump Accounts (a version of baby bonds), and the Trump Gold Card, which allows rich foreigners to get permanent residency in the U.S.
Waldman correctly points out that Trump's obsession with putting his name everywhere is a mix of selfishness, fear, and a desire to feel important.
He also notes that Trump often thinks about his own death and how unlikely it is that he'll go to heaven.
But there's good news: As soon as Democrats regain power, we can simply remove Trump's name from everything.
"Best of all, unless he dies in the next few years, Trump will be around to watch the legacy he dreamed of turn to dust," he writes, calling for the "destruction" to start as soon as the next president takes office.
"Not just the name, but every trace of him: Chisel off the letters, take down the photos, melt down the stupid coins, tear out his patio and replant the Rose Garden, strip all the flashy gold decorations from the Oval Office," Waldman adds.
"Maybe even demolish the ballroom, but at the very least, remodel it so it doesn't look like an ugly mix of the Winter Palace and Saddam Hussein's bathroom, and rename it for someone he hates.
The Obama Ballroom has a nice ring to it," he writes.
"The images of Trump's erasure should live on for years, shared and turned into memes, until they're as familiar as Buzz Aldrin walking on the moon or the sailor kissing the nurse on V-J Day in Times Square," he writes.
"In the end, the visual memory of Trumpism should have two parts: His corrupting effect on our nation’s capital, leading to the restorative and redemptive removal of every trace of him."
He says Democrats must ignore the complaints from Trump and Republicans about this erasure and just say, "Too bad.
We have the power now."
"This cleansing must be complete and thorough, and to do it right, we should start planning now," Waldman concludes.
We couldn't agree more with this plan!
Trump’s legacy is one of ashes. He has damaged America's reputation globally, hurt our economy with unnecessary tariffs, scared minority communities with harsh ICE raids, and signed a "big, beautiful bill" that gave huge benefits to the wealthy while cutting $1 trillion from Medicaid.
Trump’s policies will be hated for years to come, and it's only fair that we take away the one thing he really cares about: the monuments to his own ego.
Please ❤️ and share if you love this plan!

Damn straight! Everything about Trump and his terror should be destroyed and removed from history. No library, no ballroom in ugly gilded facade, and no Trump name on anything in this country. He and his family should also be required to repay every penny stolen or grifted from this country
Wonderful idea! I suggest turning the ballroom into a place that honors the people that have given freely to make our country a better place! An annual free to the public banquet to all that had to go hungry during he’s reign. Vets get honorary setting. Let’s do it! I can’t wait till the tables have turned. 👍😊 🇺🇸
